渣浆泵(slurry pump)从工作原理上讲属于离心泵,从概念上讲指通过借助离心力(泵的叶轮的旋转)的作用使固、液混合介质能量增加的一种机械,将电能转换成介质的动能和势能的设备。主要适用于:矿山、电厂、疏浚、冶金、化工、建材及石油等行业领域。渣浆泵的名称是从输送介质的角度来划分的一种离心泵。另外渣浆泵从不同角度还可以具体划分不同类型。水泵除了抽水之外,还可以抽气体、固体、固液混合体——矿粉泥浆!水泵用电在国家总电量中所占比重很大,水泵的节能情况对国民经济有着重要影响,水泵不但在节能环节中起着积极作用,在火力发电减排流程中也发挥着重要作用。渣浆泵不但比同类产品节能4%-8%,还为大气脱离雾霾“魔爪”做贡献。

一般将适用于输送液体(水)中含有悬浮固体物的泵称为渣浆泵。目前是选矿、选煤厂各工艺流程中不可缺少的设备之一。渣浆泵可按不同原则分为单级/多级、单吸/双吸、悬臂、卧式/立式以及泵壳水平中开/垂直结合等型式,如图所示,其基本结构由叶轮、泵壳、泵轴、轴承及托架组成,动力还包括电动机,对轮或胶带轮联轴器等,耐磨件还包括衬板轴套等,密封件包括轴封、副叶轮等,支撑件包括支架等,但内部原理是一致的,当叶轮快速转动时,叶片促使介质很快旋转,旋转着的介质在离心力的作用下从叶轮中飞出,泵内的介质被抛出后,叶轮的中心部分形成真空区域,介质在大气压力(或水压)的作用下通过管网压到了进料管内。这样循环不已,就可以实现连续供料,从而达到工艺设计要求的扬程和流量。当然,入料方式目前多采用压入式,即料位高于入料管,则可以减去从上水管或泵壳向内部灌水的步骤。
