Rotor pumps are also known as colloidal pumps, three-leaf pumps, and sole pumps. The rotor (the number of teeth is 2 - 4) that relies on two synchronous reverse rotations generates suction (vacuum) at the inlet during the rotation, thereby sucking in the material to be conveyed. The high-viscosity rotor pump is self-priming and is suitable for conveying viscous liquids containing no solid particles and fibers, even liquids in semi-solid state. The high-viscosity rotor pump has a maximum transport viscosity of 300,000 cst centipoise.
●The rotor pump is a positive displacement pump, and the delivery flow can be controlled more accurately or easily. The output flow of the centrifugal pump is uncontrollable and decreases with increasing resistance; the rotor pump has a strong self-priming capability, and the centrifugal pump must be filled with liquid before it can be operated.
●The rotation speed of the rotor pump is very low, generally between 200 rpm and 600 rpm, and the material to be conveyed is smoothly outputted without damaging its components. The centrifugal pump has a high rotation speed, and the material to be conveyed is subjected to strong impact and centrifugal force. Therefore, the centrifugal pump often produces a different material composition when conveying the mixture, so that the quality of the finished product is degraded. The universal pump is the best choice to solve this problem, so it is especially suitable for conveying materials and even materials containing solid particles.
●The rotor pump can be used to transport substances with high viscosity, so it is also called colloid pump. Centrifugal pumps do not have this feature.
●Rotor pump can be easily made into a variety of output pressure, such as 150kgf / cm2, suitable for long distance or high resistance quantitative delivery.
